Advertising charges on the forum

Just a quick question. I have placed an advert. The site says free to advertise but SOME expensive items there is a charge. I'm fine with this, but we are in Spain. WHY is the charge in pounds not euros ? £2.99 not a lot but the cost fluctuates with the exchange rate. Surely it should be €2.99 or rounded to €3.00. I have a spanish bank account so my currency is euros.
