Car ferry refunds
Hi all Has anyone experience of refunds from car ferries who have temporary ceased to operate ie Brittany Ferries Bilbao to Portsmouth.Any info gratefully recieved

Our ferry from Bilbao to UK was cancelled and Brittany Ferries gave me a “Refund Voucher”! As I will not be using them in the fore eagle future I have written to them to request a refund. I am still waiting for a reply!

I’m the same, I’ve sent them an email and got an automated reply saying they would respond till the 9th April and the phone lines are switched off.

I am in the UK visiting family and was due to sail back to Spain on 21 April but that got cancelled by Brittany Ferries. In their email informing me of the cancellation was a voucher number to use for rebooking and it was valid for 24 months. Fortunately I have managed to secure another crossing later this year. Quite a feat when you want a pet friendly cabin! This has worked out ok for me but I know it is not ideal for everyone. Good luck to you all and stay safe

We arrived via Bilbao on the 13th March then lockdown started 2days later. We have a return booking for 8th June and hope by then it will go ahead but if not and have to stay longer, we also have a return to Spain booking early September which I feel isnt worth doing if the eventual return to UK is close to this date, especially if the prices(which we,d have to pay the differrence) is a lot greater than the June booking (July and August). I,m only worried that if we try to reschedule our September booking to later ,say November which thankfully not yet booked I will lose our September cost as with the new system ie. standard booking price, we dont have a right to a refund or a rescheduling. Horrified with the new booking system as I have booked many times under the old one price system, but just now shows how difficult with the new choice system you cant forsee things happenning in the future. Who,d have thought.........?
I hope under new basic prices we can still change the booking if we choose to and not lose out completely. Feel sure there may be others facing similar situation.
