Hi. We generally fly from UK to our Apartment in Spain but owing to the present Covid situation I would be happier to ferry and drive through France with a one night stop-over. Can anyone recommend a nice place to stay overnight. Any useful information on routing would be much appreciated

We took a relaxed 4 nights to get back to Cherbourg last year although the last night was at Bayeux so not far from the port. First night was Jaca south of the Pyranees-a lovely town with a great atmosphere on a Saturday night. 2nd night was Barbezieux St Hilaire-nice but very quiet on a Sunday and monday was at Ambois which again was a lovely place to spend a night and a half day

Hello Stephen. Thanks very much for your reply. We are hoping to travel to Spain early September so will now have some idea where to have an over-night stop-over
