What’s life like for work and family life?

Shouldn't be a problem for your work ethic as long as you speak Spanish in that area of the CB. Your children will find it far easier to integrate than yourselves! Unless you go for the option of private schools the administration process of getting them in school would be more difficult than private!

Why El Campello? Have you researched any other areas that require expats with your skills?

We’re looking at the same thing! Looking to move next spring with our 2 boys (4 and 1) looking at school options at the moment.  

My family are Spanish so I speak the language and my wife is currently learning.

It’s interesting what you say about the TEFL as my wife is interested in this.  I run a UK based education company so will just do that but from Spain :-) 

It would be great to know if you are any further along in the process!

Hi Jade, I hope some of this info can assist you.  

 We came to el Campello from UK a few months ago, with boys 10 and 13. We actually found a solicitor/Gestor online just before we came out and contacted them with a few questions on how to..schooling etc.  Our solicitor has been a god send to us.  She speaks fluent English.  I do recommend you contact a solicitor prior to coming out as without one paperwork here is very difficult.  For schooling for your children I can highly recommend school Pla de barragues. IT is on the same road as Lidl.  My 10 year old was welcomed into school amazingly.  They are also giving him Spanish lessons within class time. The school head and deputy head are extremely helpful, and I regularly email my sons teachers when we do not understand letters home and what homework is required.

Only two things I recommend strongly are try teaching them a base of Spanish before you come out, numbers, verbs etc and contact a Gestor as they will be able to fill out all school forms and registration into which schools are avilable.

Life is very different out here, but we are loving it.

We moved to Busot about 15 months ago, which is   about 7Km from Campello.

This is a great forum, but most of the people on here are located South of Alicante, so you maybe wont get a great deal of answers to your questions.

But there are a few of us lucky ones who live here, although i cannot recommend schools, but i do know there are quite a few hairdressers around here.

Property in Busot is cheaper than Campello, so may be worth a look.

There are some local facebook sites which are very helpful.
