It's called IVA here @21% and yes that should be the fully inclusive price. These are only rough figures that I've given you and you may find it cheaper or more expensive. Personally, I wouldn't go for the very cheap from the likes of Brico Depot and Supermarkets or the expensive like Daikin.

If you have "preinstalled" check your Comunidad rules before fitting condensers to outside walls e.g. on terraces etc, as the Community could require removal and repositioning after you've paid out, and you could end up paying twice.
Just saying! Don't shoot the....

Jeez thanks for signalling this... the very greedy estate agent (who was 'acting' as an intermediary) never mentioned this.... part of the reason why we're doing all the research .... and not working with him! Thanks for the tip! Of course not too sure if my Spanish is up to discussing that at the moment!!

Ours was pre-installed with all pipework and wiring onto a corner of the roof terrace. Agree with checking with community as there can be all sorts of restrictions in their rules. Our main one is painting. Unable to change colour of house without community approval.

If youre in a comuity where you pay fees for the upkeep. Contact the administrator. They can usually speak English of a fashion and can advise on regulations

Thanks for signalling this. The original 'project' with the estate agent was to put the units on the terrace. Well at the moment I don't think we'll be doing any external painting as it's a semi-detached...more concerned with the internal stuff for the moment...But good to know... it makes perfect sense - same thing happens in France with the community.... but it's been a while since we've been in that situation. thanks once again.

Great thanks - from what I've understood 98% of people in the community are there permanently and most if not all Spanish (seller was Spanish...and English teacher)... but might try and find out this information as soon as we get the keys so I can try and contact the administrator before everyone disappears for the summer holidays!! Have some basic Spanish but not too sure could go through that particular minefield...not an area to get misunderstood on!

hi there,
I'm just wondering how you got on with your airco? We may be in a similar position... the house we are planning on buying has what they called 'pre-installation' for airco... the estate agent keeps telling us that it will be cheap to install airco...but not 100% convinced of that...and woul...

Where in Campello are you buying / bought by the way. It is a lovely place and we are now looking at taking early retirement and moving permanently. Brexit the drawback with so many grey areas. Also the tax liabilities in Spain are extremely high again too many grey areas. Going over in the next few months for tax advice.

I mentioned it because a friend of mine was the first owner occupier in a block. All the apartments were pre installed. He chose the cheaper option of installing a condenser on his terrace to serve a splitter inside the apartment. At a later Comunidad meeting the President asked for it to be noted in the minutes that no condensers are allowed on terraces.
My friend informed the Community that when he was the first owner in, there were no community rules. At present some 3 years later his condenser is still there. But if the Community is already established you might not get so lucky if there are rules in place on this.
