I'm 69, husband 74, neither of us have ever been offered a flu jab we have been in Spain for 6 years, and been in the Spanish health system for almost as long.

My health centre don't offer/invite for flu jab. I have to request it. Never had a problem. Maybe your health centre is the same.

Chance would be a fine thing, it's easier to get an audience with the Pope than speak to anyone at our health centre. I'm still trying to get to speak to someone, anyone about the result of the ultrasound scan I had in June 2020.

I’ve waited nearly four months for an ultrasound scan and have finally got an appointment next week.
Looks like I’ll be waiting a lot longer for the result.
Do they not tell you anything whilst doing the scan?

I was not told a thing during the scan, though the radiographer was a bit nonplussed when looking at the screen as I had an hysterectomy many years ago, the scan was to check on a problem a blood test identified with my liver.
Oh, well I'll just have to let sleeping livers lie! 🙂

Its usual practice that the radiographer preforming the scan does NOT disclose findings other than perhaps finding a Baby 🤩💖
The scan is supposed to be read by a Consultant Radiologist, who then forwards a written report to the Doctor who ordered the scan.
Sometimes that original Doctor does not report normal scans to his patients and only contacts them IF something needs to be done or is abnormal.
Having said that your GP should have a record/results of any scans normal or otherwise.
Hope this helps

Thank you Maria.
As the ultrasound is not going to show a baby hiding! I’m guessing it’s going to show I have a torn tendon in my shoulder. So if this indeed shows up in the ultrasound will the consultant radiologist refer me for treatment or will it have to go back to my GP to send the referral back to the hospital.
Just wondering how much longer I have to wait for a proper diagnosis.

To the best of my knowledge the Radiologist sends the report back to your GP who should refer you to the relevant specialist care eg Orthopaedics or physiotherapy.
Your condition sounds very painful. Four months seems a long time! Health services are pushed to the limit everywhere. Very hard for people waiting.
Some people get a little relief from jacuzzi and/or physiotherapy. Of course anti inflammatory medication can help too.
Hopefully you feel better soon :)
Kind regards
Maria
