I have recently returned from the uk after three years as a live in carer. I have had had several bar and restaurant positions over the last 10 years including owning my own bar in Dona pepa. I even became a dab hand in the kitchen. Not a chef but a decent cook.

I presume you have residency?

Under the old pre WA rules you were allowed a maximum absence of two years, you say you've been away for three so residency you held when you left could have lapsed.

As long as you have the correct documents to enable you to legally work in the EU, then what seems like every bar/restaurant in the area is crying out for staff. Not just bar staff but chefs as well.

I know of bars that are having to close an extra day each week because they can’t get staff.

There’s at least three new bars in the area opened this week.

I would just go around the bars with your CV.

mat the end of the day I don’t want to move Hi there. Yes I’m a Spanish resident. Have been for years. I also have my TIE card to replace the old one. Think I have every card known to man same as rest of us. At the end of the day i don’t want to. Move back to uk full time as I class Spain 🇪🇸 as my home. Thanks for your help

If you try Guardamar you’d need to be fluent in Spanish. There’s only 3 Brit bars in Guardamar.

From memory  adverts this week I’ve seen

Quesada Fish & Chips,Harry’s Bar,  Chiefs, Aurora, Coopers, El Bar, The Olive Tree, Med Bar, O Briens, Legends etc etc etc

There’s a new restaurant opening in Marquesa soon as well as on Av de Nacc
