Im sorry I can’t find my original post about voting in uk election.

Update:   Had confirmation on 5/6 of my wish to vote by post in uk but it’s taken until today 3/7 to go through the rigmarole and get my voting slip, one day before the election.  Some of you on here said this would be the case.

I made my request for a postal vote on the day the election was announced. I had an immediate response saying that it had been received and actioned but it still has not yet arrived.

Got my postal vote accepted back n April too, but have not received the papers either! :(

I notified eureporter here: https://www.eureporter.co/world/uk/2024/06/21/investigation-into-how-british-expats-votes-can-miss-uk-election/ who are putting together a dossier.
They need asmany as possible to email them, but I know the same thing has happened in UK too.

About time parliament woke up to the 21st century and introduced on-line voting!   (Also dedicated MP(s) for ex-pats)

Hi Both myself and Husband applied for postal vote on the day it was announced. Received by email a reply. Last Tuesday 25th June it arrived in the post at our villa, filled in and put back in the post on the same day. So we can only hope it’s arrived in time.

Ours arrived in the afternoon post on Friday 28th. Posted but wouldn't be collected until late Monday. Doubt it'll get there in time. Local council in an email said they were only posted out on 26th June as that was the closing date for nominations.

Well that’s not true, as I definitely received mine here in Spain on the 25th June. I actually have a photo of it on that date.

Could be different areas had different dates for nominations. I know it's different in two midland areas. Looking at the House of Commons library they give different nomination key dates. Not sure our council, which send out the voting forms, would lie.

Met three people whose voting forms arrived today. Hardly a great endorsement of allowing expats the vote.
