Spanish lessons

I moved to Santa Pola less than two weeks ago. I am still unpacking etc. I hope you don't mind that I hitch a ride on you message as I am interested in any replies you may receive, and have written so that I received them too.

Hi Sally, we moved in last Monday, and know all about unpacking boxes. I’ve been trying to find lessons or anything really, but not getting any info at all. Someone did say before on here there was something in a hotel in Santa Pola,but forgotten the name of it.  I really need to find lessons as there is not much English spoken in Elche,but that is what I wanted, likewise if you hear of anything please let me know,and maybe we could even go together. First of all, wellcome to Spain!

You can find a group for English/Spanish conversation in Elche, at Teteria ADARVE  (Carrer Major del Raval, 4) every Wed from  19:00 to 19:45h approx. It is organized by "Associació Veinal El Raval" which is a neighborhood association, and it is for free (or maybe you will just have to become a member of the association, which costs 10euro/year).

Hello Lisa and Angela,

There is a language exchange group at the Polamar Hotel (5th floor) every Thursday night at 8pm. There are two groups: one which is purely there for socialising, another for language exchange. After about an hour both merge and there is a good exchange and opportunity to meet people. There are people there already having lessons and I am sure they will put you onto very experienced teachers. You will have a pick, I think.

I would encourage you to come along one day. Should you do so, please introduce yourselves.

Hi Lisa and others following this trail: my family and I have moved here from the UK four months ago. We are enrolling in beginner Spanish lessons at the Pangea office (Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs). I have been told by them that registration opens on Monday the 2nd Sept 2019 between 0900-1400. The course itself starts on the 15th Sept and is much cheaper than private tuition because it’s run by the council. It’s in the Carrús Multipurpose Social Centre on Calle Antonio Brotons Pastor, no 72, Elche. Good luck with learning wherever you go!
