Hi all, we are a couple in our late forties and moved to Elche in December, we absolute love it here but working from home we struggle to meet people - just wondered if any of you are local to us and would like to meet up for a coffee / drinks / dinner / walk or any other social activity really. Look forward to hearing back from you all Helen & Pete

We are in Petrer about 25 minutes away but nearer to Scott. We travel backwards forward a lot as still have business interests in Uk still.

Not sure exactly where you are in Elche, but we live permanently in Valverde, which is near the Rio Safari Park, and is actually closer to Santa Pola than Elche although we have an Elche Post Code.  If this is not too far away from you please feel free to get in touch

Welcome to Spain! You've chosen a fantastic place to live and there's plenty going on.  I don't know if you are into sport, but eurotenis is a small group of expats mainly from the UK but also from across Europe and we play every Tuesday and Friday at Elche tennis club. We also have regular social events.  If you want to pop down and have a knock about let me know!

Hi great to hear from you !! I probably have the worst hand/eye coordination ever known to mankind so tennis and me doesn't really work but my husband fairs much better with a racquet and I'm sure he would love to be involved ! (The social events sound much more up my street though so would definitely be interested in anything like that ) . Could you share some more info with me about the tennis club regarding times etc . Look forward to hearing back from you Helen & Pete

Hi Helen

Our group has about 20 members in total, both men and women although only about half live here full time and play every week.  We play from 10-12 every Tuesday and Friday throughout the year at Elche tennis club and have a drink and a chat afterwards.  Our most recent social function was a barbecue last weekend with live music which was well attended and enjoyed by all (non playing partners welcome of course!). If you want to visit our Facebook page there are some photos and contact details - search for Eurotenis2018. Hope to see you and your husband soon. John
