Hi, we are wondering where to look to buy a larger villa Elche to the coast with a plot size of 2,000 sq meters, 3 to 5 bed + with a budget of 300,000 euros max.

Our main concern is security, as lots of larger villas seem remote. Are there any developments between Elche and the coast where there are lots of neighbours, or maybe even a gated community? Agents are obviously reluctant to give out precise locations whereas we could use 'google earth' to look at the location and proximity of adjoining properties.

We've also looked online at properties and enquired of the agent, and later find out the area may be unsuitable because of illegal builds, flood plain etc.

Any tips much appreciated.

Hello

Please be aware that any rural property MUST have at least 10,000 Square metres to be legal.

I am selling our home for the last 12 years, on a plot of 12,500 sq metres, all legal, 2 minutes to town by car, airport 15 minutes, best healthcare available in the Costas, friendly neighbours.  The house has been advertised on this website for the last few months.   Price is 275,000 Euros.

If you require full details just PM me in Crevillent.

Kind regards

Richard

Look at La Montanosa Urbanisation in Hondon Valley. Beautiful setting; great scenery, between 2 lovely villages, and only 10 mins from the great City of Elche. Only 30 mins easy journey to airport and same to coast. Well built properties, no Communal Fees and no properties older than 2005.

Great honest agent too.... with many properties there.... Steven Bromley, Hondon Valley Homes; good guy and actually lives there himself. Check out his website. For your budget youll get a palace there!

Good luck

Hi Yorkshire , We live on a very well to do Spanish urbanisation just outside Elche.Big properties and close to town , coast ,airport and road connections to everywhere in Spain .There are a few villas for sale here but it is 98%Spanish people. Most properties have 2000m2 and more so the neighbours are not on top of you like most of the expat urbs.Try looking on Spanish sites as most houses are listed much cheaper than expat owned estate agents. Urbanizacion Buenos Aires you can google propery for sale on this area and the properties here will come up on spanish sites. The closest beach is only 8 mins by car .Good luck 🏡

Hi Yorkshire

We bought our place last year through Eden Villas Spain. Victor Fuendes is very helpful, nothing is too much trouble for him, even after the sale and he could probably advise. We live in Elche but as you head out of town towards Crevillent. In terms of proximity to the beach, we usually head out to La Marina’s beach, which is about 20 mins in the car. I agree with others on this forum about the urbs in that, you’re unlikely to find a property of the size you said in an urb. It is quite common that campo properties may be wholly or partly illegally built. If you buy out of town, make sure all original structures including the swimming pool and any extensions are registered and bills relating to them have been paid prior to the sale. Good luck!
