Hi I have been looking at properties in elche and some are large appartments at a cheap price and some are twice the price and smaller m2 .I don't know the area of elche bit find it appealing to me .my question is that is that areas of elche that would be let's say antisocial " no go areas" that reflects the price of properties .and if so are the areas really not good to buy.. thanks in advance

I don't believe there are any actual 'no go' areas but certain areas have attracted concentrations of let's say 'non Europeans' which can in turn have a negative influence on property values.

Whether, in exchange for a cheaper property, you'd feel at home living in such an area is a decision only you can make.

@movingon thanks for your reply . Yes I was just reading that there is an influx of immigrants in elche area that have been welcomed in to the Spanish community. Maybe I'll spend a few days in the area when we visit next year for holidays ..

Slightly tongue in cheek here Alfie but ...

We brits are immigrants in Spain and welcomed into their country and community - even more so come brexit when we will cease to be EU citizens and become extranjeros.

Most brits prefer to live in brit urbanisations, although quite a lot of us do live in the Spanish areas.

We have a town house in a Spanish town and in our small road there is a mix of Spanish, Marroquíes and just us two brits. We all get on well together and all had to muck in when the floods came.

We will soon be in the same category as Norwegians, Swiss, Icelandic Australian and Marroquies, so quite happy to share an area with any of them.

Sorry to here about your extranjerous predicament.but I was simply enquiring about the reason for the significance of such a low sale value of  some good we'll kept properties as this usually indicates less desirable areas. Glad you have a good community that Yee all get along as this is not the case in some communities that had an influx of imigrants that were allocated social housing by the government
