Hi, today you can now get a PCR test at Manchester, Stansted and Leeds airport, check the airports web site as they have also done a deal with boots which allow you to get tested locally ,the results are within 48 hrs which is better than having to go to the airport twice. Hope this helps.

Great news! I emailed Bristol airport earlier to see if they have any plans - but they say none yet! But it’s all fabulous news!

Hi all, please be aware I did a PCR test, sent it as per info, allowed 24hrs for parcel to get there and up to 72 hours to process. Travelling Tue so sent Thu 5pm expecting them to get Fri or Sat, process over weekend and back latest Monday. Results came back Friday! Now out of date for travel. Found online company you collect from pharmacy and drop back by 2pm and guaranteed by 11pm next day, also open Sunday (in Manchester). So will find out tomorrow if we have a valid (2nd neg test) certificate to go on the ferry. As we are moving to Spain had to spend the money as we cannot just book a later flight.

These are hurdles are sent to try us but getting to live in Spain is going to be worth the effort.

NB Medicspot was online company £149 each. Pall mall in London were the original company that did it so quick £129. Be aware they say 4-6 days for a test not 24 hours as happened to me. Buyer as they say beware!

Hi Peclark, just to clarify things for me, doesn’t the test have to be taken within 72 h of arriving in Spain? Otherwise surely you could have the test taken quite a while before travel if it’s just the result you’re expected to have within 72 h?

Hello,

https://spth.gob.es/info-pcr

Here's the official line on the test & the 1st paragraph clarifies  when test should be taken, so you are right Sarah

Cheers

That’s how I understand it too - test taken and results within 72hours of arriving in Spain.

My understanding is you have to arrive in Spain no later then 72 hours after the time the test was taken and obviously it needs to be negative BEFORE you arrive.
