Hi there

I am moving to La Nucia in December from the UK and will need to buy myself a second hand car. I am wondering if anyone knows the best way to get car insurance and what are some of the better and safer companies to get insurance through. Also, is it possible to arrange it before I arrive or can it only be done once I'm there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

If you buy through a dealer ( recommended ) they will help with getting insurance. We are with Linea Directa ( ( Spanish equivalent of Direct Line ), reasonable price, great service including breakdown cover.

We are insured with Libert through local agent for car and house. We have recently had to claim on both policies, separately, for water damage and scraping side of vehicle badly. Both claims settled almost immediately, we used garage who have arrangements with Liberty so they dealt with them on our behalf, very efficiently.
