I have posted a few times here since I started planning my move to Finestrat and have been so grateful for the help and advice I have found on this forum. So here I go again! I will arrive in December and I presume I won't be able to get car finance until I have salary slips for a few months at least. I am trying to avoid buying a car for cash when I get there, so I'm looking for a lease or car rental for a few months. It will be expensive if I simply choose a 30 day rental with Avis or one of the normal car rental companies and will have to keep doing that for a few months. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to hire/lease a car for a few months at a reasonable cost before I can get car finance? Also, what is the best way to get car finance?

Many thanks for all the help!

Our friends go to Benidorm from Nov -May every year in their motorhome so they do a long term rental with Doyouspain and get a cracking deal as it's cheaper the longer you rent it...hope this helps

DoYouSoain are simply the broker, any issues with deals etc will be down to the hire company themselves?

That is correct, but when problems do arise, which is far too frequently, they are absolutely no help to the customer, and even after receiving numerous complaints about the companies they use they still continue to recommend them.  There are better companies that offer car rentals, without the hassle.
