Hi all we have (very) recently completed our purchase of an apartment in Formentera del Segura. Can anyone recommend the best/cheapest way/supplier to get uk freeview installed. We are initially just using it for holidays so don't want/need all the bells and whistles.

Freeview is UK TV via a tv aerial, and is NOT available in Spain.
The best way to get Freesat, UK TV via satellite, is with a satellite dish and Freesat receiver.
The cheapest way is via a free internet stream on a PC, laptop, or cheap android box

I used DVBlab (online) - they installed Internet with very small roof Sat dish and I have all the Freeview channels via the modem on a switch on/off system - 300e installation and 39e per month for on/off option - very reliable and Engineer is instantly at your door to solve any probs

We had a satalite dish and box installed, one off payment no monthly fees and get UK Freeview channels. As ours is a holiday apartment we don't have internet and didn't want the monthly expense of around 30€ especially when the apartment is not being used.
Can recommend an installer if you are interested.

Hi thanks for your reply. Yes we have now done the same, we're lucky enough to be able to connect to an existing dish and bought a tv with sat receiver built in, so no monthly charges!

That's great, for a holiday home you don't want a monthly internet charge. We have had our dish two years, works for us.
Hope you enjoy Formentera we love it here find it so friendly and relaxing. Owned our apartment for ten years, so really settled in.

Hi
We have just bought an apartment on Formentera Del Segura and wondering how we go for TV and internet etc., can you give me some advice please.

Hi We used go satellite in Quesada, they were very good and the job was done within 4 days of visiting the shop.
They have an offer of 1.4m dish and HD free to air box for 345e.
If you get a digital TV it should already have a sat receiver, to connect ours to an existing dish and for a quad LNB was 110e.

Hi, sounds all very complicated, coming from Australia, and using computer, bigpond, mobile everything is set up here, so first I need to get a digital TV and I would not need a sat dish, but I will contact Go Satellite as you say will I need a dish though?

It depends on your circumstances.
Ours is a holiday apartment so we just have free to air channels and a dish so we don't have anything to pay monthly.
If you live there full time you might want Internet, if so thenan iptv box would be better, no dish needed.
Best to speak with go satellite, I'm sure they will give you good advice.
