Hi, which bank is the cheapest to run as a non resident ?…
we are with Sabadell and it €190 a year 😳,
is it correct that bankinter is only €45 per year ?

A lot of non residents on this forum are ditching the Spanish banks and signing up with "Wise" online banking. They will issue you with an EU IBAN and you can set up your direct debits.

No...Bankinter is €120 for maintenance plus another €30 for debit card.
Non resident charges for couple with joint account.
As Steve above says many are switching to online banks.

Many thanks for this. We will be residents does this make a difference?
I'm a resident and bank with BankInter free of charge. In fact for the first couple of years they paid me interest on the account.
