Firstly, iwant to have a few days in Valencia. Any ideas on best route? Don't want to drive.

Secondly is it easy to get round the centre of Valencia on bus/metro?

Thanks in advance of replies.

Make your way to Alicante on your local transport and then take the train from there to Valencia. RENFE is the company, station in Alicante is close to the big Corte Inglés at the top of Maisonave.

Hello

You can get a train from Alicante - it is the Barcelona train but stops in Valencia for 10mins approx unloading goods etc.

I have been several times and the 1st time was via one of the regular coach companies  for a  3 night stay( Davids Coaches  I think) & the hotel they used was  outside of the city centre but  with  regular buses passing by....I found it easy to get around but lots of walking involved too.   Look at Davids & Rosa tours for options as an alternative to the train journey

Hi

We went to Valencia a few years ago - I also didn't want to drive, because I was aware that the centre of the city is a nightmare for unsuspecting drivers!

What I did was to drive to Xeraco train station and catch a local train into the city centre. Xeraco station is in an industrial estate with free street parking. Trains are frequent and inexpensive.

Maybe that would suit you?

Cheers

Steve

While we drove to Valencia , you can get the train from Alicante. Park at San Isidro, train to Alicante then connect to Valencia. Its really easy to get around Valencia by bus and tram.

There are really good deals with David's Coach Tours or Rosa Couch Tours. It's a fabulous  city  and well worth a visit
