This was quoted on the N332 Facebook page a few hours ago.

Going Back Home.   If you wish to drive back home through France, catch a ferry in the north of the country, or just taking a plane, do not worry about the restrictions of movement among the different communities. All citizens who are on their way back home are authorized to pass through...

... these restricted areas. And those who are abroad and have their official residency in Spain are allowed to come back whenever they wish.

Thank you!  this was realy helpful and reassuring - thanks!

Just got this off the N332 Facebook page.

FRANCE

The President of the republic, Sr. Emmanuel Macrón has just announced a second national lockdown from this Friday.

France’s borders will be closed and mandatory rapid testing would be introduced for anyone coming entering the country, said Macrón.

The new measures will be in force until mid-December and reassessed every 15 days to see if they are working, he added.

 Hello,

Great post Golandrina, that will  create or solve a lot of issues with people asking about driving to and from Spain between now and Christmas - at least they can still  try to make alternative arrangements

Cheers

Hi Golandrina,

I don't know whether something has changed between me going out for dinner and coming home again (before the curfew! 😉), but according to France24, President Macron has said that France’s frontiers will remain OPEN this time to travellers from the EU, but restrictions will apply to those from outside the EU.  As EU rules continue to apply to UK citizens until the end of this year, this suggests there will be no problem for them travelling to/from Spain through France 🤔

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi guys. As I am coming to La Mata on the 15th Nov. but hve not really been keeping up with the status changes in Spain (due to Boris's confused madness) I wondered what you thought about a total lockdown in this region of Spain? The R rate I believe is still the highest in Europe and we're going into the flu season which will be taken for a Covid infection no doubt so what's the chances...?
