Yes, nothing’s changed in that respect, as well as wearing it in crowded outdoor spaces ie markets, shopping centres and all forms of public transport.
Discussions have been made about changes, but it looks as though they won’t happen this side of Easter.

Don’t disagree in the least, but in the UK all travel entry restrictions end on 18 March whether vaccinated or not. That includes no longer having to fill in the passenger locator form. Right now you don’t even have to isolate if you prove positive for Covid. Mask wearing ! Up to the individual I suppose, meant to be compulsory in supermarkets and enclosed places, but not really being implemented. Be honest, we have to move forward. Europe will soon follow the UK with regard to restrictions I’m sure.

Not seen anyone without a mask in any of the supermarkets or shops that I go into.

I hope they follow the science and not the UK, the dropping of restrictions is more about Johnson keeping the ERG onside, cases are rising again in the UK; I hope Spain proceed with caution.

Hello
I agree Lynn and you cant even step on a bus without the driver telling you it is a requirement. Its so much quicker for everyone if you wear it before the bus arrives, rather than searching.. pockets/ coat sleeves bags etc when the bus stops.
Just a small request from a bus user ha!
Cheers

Hi Hew,
It may be "up to the individual" in the UK, but Yvonne is asking about Spain and here we still have to wear them, as Lynn has described.
Kind regards,
Kim

Hi Kimmy, all I was saying is that Spain should soon be in a situation where they can (move forward) and do the same as the UK. Me, I still wear a mask and will continue to do so, but only when I personally feel it’s necessary. But the UK has made the correct decision as far as removing certain regulations are concerned, especially with regard to travel. We can’t go on for ever hiding in corners and wearing masks. Until possibly another variant emerges, right now we have to get back to normal. Then everyone would have to review the situation accordingly if a serious variant emerged. To be honest in the UK as far as the average person is concerned Covid is over and gone, and there are more serious concerns to be addressed world wide as apposed to Covid. I have gone through all the lockdowns, had three vaccinations, plus Covid, and now feel that via the UK’s vaccination strategy it is now safe to go outside and enjoy what’s left of my life. Why should anyone even Ask if masks are compulsory in Spain unless they don’t want to wear one.

Hi Hew,
I believe that people who are visiting Spain and think to ask about current Covid regulations are very responsible. There is a new variant in the UK, a sub-lineage of Omicron, called BA.2. It's even more virulent than the original Omicron variant and, as of this morning, it became the dominant variant in the UK, being the cause of 57% of new cases. With UK hospitalisations on the increase again, it beggars belief to me that all restrictions have been lifted. Personally, I'm delighted to see the end of the UK's Passenger Locator Form - they stopped Track and Trace several weeks ago, so what was the point of continuing with the PSL? But, like you, I believe the use of masks in enclosed spaces continues to be a sensible precaution, especially as, again like you, I've had double vaccination and a booster, but we know the vaccinations don't provide 100% protection. I just wanted to ensure that Yvonne didn't get the impression that masks are "optional" in Spain.
Kind regards,
Kim

Hello Hew I am one of the average people you speak of and I’m definitely still wearing a mask as are most of my friends ,I wear gloves to the shops and wash when I get home .Needless to say thanks to our inept Pirme-minister the numbers are rising again because he has taken all restrictions off and won’t listen to the experts .So I would say wear them as long as you can because you / we are not out of the woods yet I believe .I don’t mean any offence at all just pointing out a lot of us are still wearing masks and protecting ourselves .Keep safe .
