Spain approves Covid booster vaccines for over-40s

Spain's official health body, the Public Health Commission, has today approved Covid-19 booster vaccines for people in their 50s and those vaccinated with AstraZeneca, as well as confirming that people in the 40-49 age group are to be added to the booster campaign. Each of Spain's autonomous communities will be responsible for organising its own booster roll-out for over 40s and over 50s, and regional health departments are likely to follow a staggered approach by age in descending order, from oldest to youngest. To be eligible for a booster dose, 6 months must have passed from their initial 2-dose vaccination.
