Hi Villas,
I think "non-Spaniards who cite reasons of force majeure" may help the couple who posted this morning that they would be "homeless" if they can't travel here by the end of the month🤞
Kind regards
Kim

And about leaving Spain and go return to Holland via France?

Hi Jean,
I don't know, but if Holland is your habitual residence, I would have thought you should be allowed to repatriate - probably best to speak to the Dutch consulate in Alicante.
Kind regards,
Kim

Thanks. I have emailed our solicitor in Spain for advice and will contact the Spanish consulate too. If necessary we can rent a short term let here until we can go. Really appreciate all the advice on here

Morning all,
The UK has revised its travel advice for Spain, following Spain's closure of its land borders. I think it's important to highlight the distinction that they make about travelling FROM Spain:
"Update on www.GOV.UK:
Change made
Addition of information on measures imposed by Spain due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. From Tuesday 17 March until the end of the State of Emergency, Spain is closing its land borders to those who wish to enter Spain, with some exceptions. THE LAND BORDERS REMAIN OPEN FOR THOSE LEAVING SPAIN. At present, air and maritime borders remain open (‘Summary’ and ‘Health ‘pages)
Time updated
3:48am, 17 March 2020"
Kind regards,
Kim
We drove back o the UK on Thursday. The border was fine going into France but everything was being stopped coming into Spain from France.
