According to Euro Weekly at Alfaz del Pi and likely in other towns, you can apply at a health centre. You would need to be registered on the padron for 3 months, have your EHIC or proof of private health insurance. Once these details are verified you would be issued with a SIP card. I can't see them issuing SIP cards to everyone but that's what Euro Weekly says this week. Front page.

Same here, dont think the Spanish have a clue how to go about mass vaccination.
Why don't they speak to there British counterparts and get the knowledge needed, just because we have left the EU doesn't mean we wouldn't help , I do wonder how many Europeans have died because of the differing from the EU, every one I know has been vaccinated apart from the under twentysomethings,

I read in Euro Weekly news last week that Campello is using the Sports Centre in San Juan to mass vaccinate everyone in Campello and Aigues. I think it's the one near Carrefour. What concerned me is that it states that they're going to vaccinate the 18-55 age group in April ! No mention of the 55-80 age group which I would say is more important !

...entysomethings,
If EU countries had obtained more doses then there would have been fewer available to the UK, the UK has been buying up large quantities in advance resulting in less available to other nations as the suppliers can't meet demand, an even distribution would have meant far fewer people jabbed in the UK, plus EU nations do not have to go through the EU procurement route, Hungary have been buying from Russia.

2 points to make. 1 is that the EU had their chance the same as the UK to buy the vaccines on the open market and make contracts with Astrazenica, Pfizer etc but no they messed up. Now they're blaming the UK for taking all the vaccines. The EU was too busy trying to thwart Brexit to order vaccines ! The vaccine rollout has been excellent in the UK . My friends were emotional at the service they had. 2 is that part of the trouble has been Macron and Merkel's rubbishing of the Astrazenica jab without any scientific backing. Even if Spain had got the vaccines their rollout of the vaccine and will to get everyone vaccinated would not have been half as good as the UK. I don't think you should blame the UK for the EU failings.

If the EU had ordered as quickly as the UK there would have been far fewer doses available to the UK, they couldn't have conjured up more doses, we'd have had to share what was available, another problem here largely driven by the likes of the Sun, Mail and Express is the focus on the hesitency in the EU to use AZ when countries around the world including the USA were also reluctant to use it. We have to be extremely careful not to get drawn into the need to create an enemy of the EU, they have been our friends and partners for over 40 years and we here in Spain have benefited from that partnership.
