Thanks, Kim. I for one, was not aware of this further delay 👍

You're very welcome, Sheila. Having been on CBF even longer than me, I'm sure you know that I wouldn't waste members' time by posting something without first checking whether it has already been posted on here - and it hasn't.
Kind regards,
Kim

I know it's quite difficult to find things on here with the search facility but I can assure you it has been discussed over the last couple of days with reference to the very link you put up.
If I try and find something on here it is always quite difficult as there is no date sequence so you end up with posts from years ago followed by new posts then more from years ago.

If you understand how this site works, it isn't that difficult. I assume you couldn't find the thread started on 19 August 2024, titled "EES date confirmed", nor could you find your own comment from the same thread which you posted yesterday? Unfortunately, members who didn't comment on the 19 August thread will not have seen subsequent posts in the same thread, including where Aitch posted the update from the Schengen site. That's why Sheila, and probably other members too, haven't seen it - and the reason why I started a new thread with the link that popped up in my newsfeed, so that members who check new posts will see it.
If you need any help navigating this site, please don't hesitate to ask. You'll find that a polite request is far more likely to receive a positive response, than unwarranted sarcasm.
Kind regards,
Kim

I think it really depends on how you use the site - whether it be via “unread” posts or “latest” posts or whatsoever other means.
And it’s clear that most people never bother using the search function as evidenced by the same questions getting repeated over and over again.
My personal favourites are around cannabis clubs in Benidorm so I can enjoy the usual postings of how druggies are ruining the ability of someone to sit on their balcony or how you go about completing a non resident tax return.
At least in the tax return scenario one appreciates that the individual asking the question wishes to comply with the tax legislation of the country in which they own a home.

Maybe it's just me, but I find that post very condescending.
Indeed, it's factually incorrect too as members who look at latest posts would see posts on threads from years ago when a new post is added which you claim is not the case.
And yes, Aitch's post
See the attached the EES rollout date being postponed. No revised date given so very unlikely to be this year.

Rgds,
Aitch.
Which is visible if you use View unread posts. Hey ho! Life's too short to argue on the interweb thingy.

Personally, I do not search this site for previous answers. I simply respond to any posts that interest me, when they appear on the daily email. It really is no problem if I have read something previously about a topic. Often I have seen relevant articles on FB or in the newspapers. It is very kind for people to take the time to let us know of something we might have missed. Please lovely people, don’t stop sharing any news with us. This forum was invaluable when I moved here 9 years ago, and anyone who is new to Costa Blanca, will inevitably ask the same questions that we all did. Have a happy Sunday 😎
