I need to hire an Independent Expert: my property flooded . I have home insurance with Sabadell. Since Sabadell's team could not find the source, of the flood , i need to commission a private technician using non-destructive methods (like thermography or pressure tests) to pinpoint the leak.
Does anyone know of a local English speaking expert that could help identify the issue as Sabadell has closed the case.

Hope you get things sorted but from what you say it looks like Sabadell insurance should be avoided, i would not have thought it was up to you to prove where the leak originated.

Sadly it's fairly common for insurance companies in Spain to find ways to reuse a claim, Sababell are just one of many.
If you google leak detection specialist in Orihuela Costa there are a few that come up, pick the company nearest you with the highest ratings. Good luck.

Yeah i totally agree with what you have outlined - Sabadell insurance should be avoided. I have been with them for 10 year's and this is my first claim.
I will not be renewing my home insurance policy with them .

Hi my company specialises in fire and flood restoration, normally your underwriter would appoint a Lossadjuster to assess damage arange repairs and any need for AA ( alternate Acomodation) I also depends on cause of damage escape of water/fire damage in your home by you or third party neighbours, communal pipe? There is also a service called a loss assessor , this is paid by you and normally in uk 10% of the claim. He/she would argue your claim and repairs on your behalf with insurers.
If your claim is going how 85% of claims here they may ask for estimates and offer a DT settlement( desk top) they will pay you a lower percentage of the cost minus your excess.
Depending on size of claim you do need someone to guide you.

Go with Generali...we have made a couple of claims with no quibble, they even paid for water lost, i hear Direct Line refuse...
