Unfortunately there is no definitive answer, my own experience I think is typical, one order value €52 duty €26.01 another order value £35 no duty.
From other posts on the subject of duty it seems most have taken the decision to tell family and friends in the UK not to bother sending cards and gifts seems it's too fraught, which is really sad.
Hello
Yes! don't risk receiving anything originating in the UK without paying VAT & Import tax.
. Its almost a year now since I told my family in UK what was about to happen -- they have found alternative websites + Amazon.es goods or gift vouchers are often sent. Amazon.es have been superb especially during lockdown..... goods received in one or two days by courier and no additional charges in my case

My mother in the uk sent me 3 small cards (1 Christmas and 2 birthday cards) in one envelope, cost £3.50 to send, we got a card left in our post box from Correos saying that we have to pay €9.97 for the envelope ! This is disgraceful ! There is no value at all so there should be no duty to pay but they still want to charge us for 3 bits of card ! It's a shocking state of affairs all caused by that horrible B word !
