As Spain is making it more difficult to go there do they really want all the brits to go to Turkey, Greece and Egypt ? Is the country so rich that they can afford for us to spend our money in other places, if you have to prove how much money you have and where you are staying what if you are touring Spain or don’t have money on you just cards, carry on Spain you are the ones loosing out

It was UK who decided to leave The EU, Spain had no say in UK leaving EU, Spain is only abiding by the EU legislation

Stop being brainwashed by the UK gutter press and form your own opinions. Have you ever been stopped and asked for that information when entering Spain?
What, this again? Stop believing all the click bait and doom mongering British Press.
Nobody gets asked how much money they have and, if they did, access to a card is perfectly sufficient.
Also don't believe it is only Spain. You mention Greece and Italy which also require you have sufficient funds to last your stay. Again, access to a bank account is sufficient to prove this. Don't forget the cost of an arrival visa in Turkey and the tourist tax in Italy which the Valencian Region scrapped before it even came in.
You also read the papers that don't tell you that you need to show access to funds to enter UK if you are not a Brit citizen and they recommend 100 to 150 pounds per day so higher than Spain.
To paraphrase a Valencian official, why do the guiris make everything so difficult?
My advice, stop reading UK papers which come out with this guff every so often to catch the gullible ahd trying to make out this only applies to Brits.
And, considering Spanish airports and hotels have broken all records for arrivals and occupancy for every month this year, I doubt Spain is loosing (sic) out on anything.

I have no idea why the British press is doing this. These rules have been in place for non-EU citizens for years and other countries worldwide have similar rules but for some reason they continue to pick on Spain. Maybe it has something to do with Gibraltar, I do not know but I have yet to hear of ANYBODY being stopped and asked to prove finances. Most people have a credit card which would do the trick anyway so why all the fuss is beyond me.
Maybe if you turned up looking drugged up, in filthy clothes, with just a small backpack then the border guards would have reason to stop you but otherwise they are far too busy looking for bigger fish to fry.
Just ignore it.
Edit. In fact, show me the headlines about people actually being sent back as they did not have the required funds because, believe me, it would be wall to wall headlines.

Yes I have, I had to prove all of the above and try proving you have an apartment stood at security at midnight

Spain, like the UK and any other country, will protect its borders. They will profile arrivals and whilst most will pass through without being asked for this information, those who they suspect may be arriving to work in Spain illegally or who don't appear to be ordinary tourists may be stopped and asked to prove that they have accommodation, a return flight booked, money to spend etc.
If anyone finds this upsetting then I'd recommend that they enjoy a staycation instead of holidaying in any country that has border security staff.

Way a lot of Brits behave Spain would be happy if they went elsewhere.
Also people from a lot of other countries in Northern Europe would be favourite from the point of view of spending capacity.
Question answered.
