Hi, 

Have a look on Citisens Advice Spain website, all the info is there and it is kept up to date.

Basically you need to go to the Police National in either Elche or Torrevijca, (I am not sure which you come under) I am in Catral and had to go to Elche.

Go get your form, fill it in, find out about when you can go to get your Residencia, make your payment at the bank. Then go back with all your ID, Padron, NIE, proof of income, proof of healthcare, receipt from the bank. That's it.

If it is Elche they only have a few numbers available each day, we went at 7am (when the numbers are allocated) and all the numbers had gone. Went the next day for 5.30 and was number 1, by about 5 mins. By half 6 there were more people than numbers.

thats sounds as nuts as it was to get our Nie years ago in gandia.

was hoping to get residencia be a bit better organized. Health care will be with becoming antonom?

Hope we come under torre and not elche, or maybe even orihula??

Health Care is from the UK if you are pensioners, the UK cover you for GP and hospital, or from Private Medical cover.

Once you have Residencia you go get your SIP card in Orihuela.

Well step one done on padron in formentera,

next step get autonom sorted ...trying to find right insurance for what the small buisness needs, been told residence is orihuela ........ little steps foreward so far.

what did you have to take with you???
