Very helpful for people in this plight so well done for posting, i had to do it a year ago when i had my handbag stolen from a restaurant in tourist season, too months and a lot of digging to find the info.

It would be really helpful if you could please publish a similar article regarding getting a replacement driving licence (without going via a gestor as this is more costly) as this usually gets stolen at the same time if you lose your handbag or wallet, as was my case. Many thanks in advance.

I used a Gestor de Automoviles in my Spanish town a couple of weeks ago.  They charged me 45 euros which included the 20.40 euro fee for the duplicate licence.  I picked up my 3 month temporary licence from them a week later.  Other than that it was a 2 hour drive, there and back, plus parking to Traffico. Certainly would have cost probably more than 25 euro they charged me for their work in fuel and parking.    Hope that helps.
