Hi all I have to pay my non resident tax and have received an email from my previous Spanish lawyers. They are charging 100 euros to do this for me (which I paid last year) but was just wondering if I can do it myself and save the 100 euros which is crucial in the current climate.

As always really appreciate all the advice and help in the forum best. Best regards Binz

Hi Binz

If you use the search facility on the forum type in Non Resident Tax and in the adjacent box type in everywhere it will bring you up lots of posts on the subject.

I personally use Spanish Tax Forms Ltd they charge £34.95 per property not per person, if you want them to pay it on your behalf it’s a further £12 per person. I just bring the completed Modelo 210 out with me and pay it at my bank. You can, of course do it yourself and you will find information on this site on how to do it.

I use "www.spain214.com" for our INR. Lesley charges £50 for 2 joint owners and that includes paying it on our behalf. I believe she charges £35 for 1 owner. To email:-  [email protected].

Yes INR stands for impuestos non residencia (spelling may not be right) it means the government tax a non resident for having property they could have rented out (therefore getting more tax in income) so they want their slice of the cake even if you don't rent out. Diabolical ruling but has to be paid. I have often wondered if other EU countries have the same law or is Spain in the minority.
