Hi all,

Like many of you, I could speak barely a word of Spanish when I first moved to Spain.  I started classes a few months after our move and following 4 years of learning with 5 different teachers, I was lucky enough to receive a recommendation for a native Spanish teacher, Marien Vegara García.  I've been going to María's classes for 2 years now and the progress I've made has been fantastic.  The course is structured with great text books which are informative and fun - we certainly don't spend our lessons reciting verb conjugations!  To add variety to the lessons, María always starts with Spanish news and cultural items, and we end with a game - educational, of course, even though it doesn't feel like it.

The weekly lessons are held in the function room of Bar Quino in Heredades, near Formentera del Segura.  They're 2 hours in duration at a cost €30 per month.  María teaches all levels, from beginners to advanced, and will be enrolling students for the new term, starting at the end of September, over the next couple of weeks.  If you're interested in learning Spanish in a fun environment with a lovely, fully qualified, native Spanish teacher, please contact María at:

[email protected]

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Kimmy I go to Marien's classes too.

Like you I really enjoy the format and my Spanish has definitely improved. I second your recommendation. I have also made new friends in class and discovered so much about this beautiful country. I urge anyone thinking about learning to give this a try.

Perhaps we will meet at some point Kimmy I always appreciate your helpful advice on this forum.  Kath

Thanks Kath.  I always make notes of the news and culture items that María shares with us, in case they're useful and informative for this forum too.  I think she's brilliant and having had 5 previous Spanish teachers (3 British and 2 Spanish), I appreciate what a difference that a native, fully qualified teacher makes to the whole learning experience.  So glad you found her too!

Best wishes,

Kim
