Hi, all, any idea why I haven't received my State Pension today? As far as I can see, it's not a holiday in the USA........

Several on other forums said the proof of life certificates hadn't been received despite them being posted some months ago. A phone call to the International Pension Centre seems to have sorted them.

Must admit, I sent mine off in January but normally receive an email a month or two later to say they've got them but not had one this year. Mine is due on Friday this week so I'll have to keep and eye out for it.

Do they send them out every year? I got one in January 2025 and returned it, but I didn't get one this year. I presumed they were random, looks like I was wrong?

Apparently they "target them" but UK pensioners living in the EU can expect one every 1 or 2 years. Yes, we got one last year (2025) and also received one this year (2026). Last year was a new system as I'd only had one in the previous 15 years of living here.

Cheers, marcliff, I bet that's what's happened. I'll give them a call tomorrow if it doesn't appear in my account then. Our post has been a bit sketchy at times so it's possible the certificate has disappeared into a bin somewhere. I'll post the outcome on here.

My OH and I have lived in Spain for 12 years and neither one of us has had one.......

My experience was strange, as I received a text message from a Spanish number saying they'd processed the life certificate and that I didn't need to contact them.

Bizarre. I've just received the transfer now. No phone calls made.....I always get the money in the morning, so I have no idea what's happened. Thanks, everyone, for your helpful comments!
