We have just bought a chalet in Gandia beach.  It is not at all remote or difficult to get to.  We spent 2000 Euros on beds and mod cons at Amazon. Seur (Amazon's main delivery company ) claim they attempt delivery but never do as I specifically wait and even provided by neighbours details This non delivery has been going on for 5 days. I am at breaking point and have no beds. I think I will cancel the entire order as i have already spent hours on  emails /chat and calls to no avail. Anazon and Seur have not rectified the delivery issue.

Has anyone  had a similar experience and how did you resolve it.Ironically we didn't use other Spanish online shops as we foolishly trusted Amazon as  tbh in the UK the service is excellent but clearly not in Spain .We are bilingual so there is no language barrier.

Has anyone any ideas on how to resolve and is this usual practice from Amazon.ES

Hi,

Go onto your Amazon.es home page, if you scroll to the bottom there is a column on the right hand side which asks if you need help. It gives a list of options so choose the client attention line and this will give you all the options of your orders and deliveries, etc.

I've been using Amazon. es for a couple of years and am lucky that I've never had any delivery problems,  they usually call me if I'm out and if I'm in they're very pleasant . I did have a couple of items I wanted to send back and also had no problem.  This doesn't mean that everybody and everything is hunky dory and I know you may have already done this but double check your address is correct as this is a common problem when they deliver, especially to communities and apartments.

I hope you manage to receive your delivery soon....before you pull all your hair out! :)

Thanks but I think I'll have to cancel the entire order as they can't locate it. Nightmare I honestly can't believe this is happening.  We live on a major road but in an enclosed community of 40 chalets...the address is very clear.

Over several years I have ordered items from Amazon quite regularly.   The only delivery company with whom I have had problems has been SEUR.   They advised that they had tried to deliver but I knew that this was a lie as I had waited for them each time.   Apparently their driver said that he could not gain access to our building (it is a block of 69 apartments) but no-one had attempted to contact me via my video phone at the door to the building.

I don't believe that SEUR is Amazon's main delivery company as I have had deliveries via other companies.

This is exactly what I am currently experiencing. The drivers just can't  be bothered .

Hi Mant66,

I've never experienced a problem with Amazon, but Seur are awful.  I once waited in 4 days for a delivery of towels - at 16:20 each day, Seur's online tracking was updated to say they had attempted delivery but I wasn't at home.  Not true, I was in the house every day waiting for them.  Fortunately, I'd ordered them from Marks & Spencer and their customer service department finally resolved it - although that involved me having to go to a local shop to collect my parcel.  In the process, however, I did discover that Seur use contract drivers during the summer holidays and the one covering our route didn't have a SatNav!

Good luck!

Kind regards,

Kim

I think SEUR should be formally reported. They are so lazy and give Spanish  people a bad reputation, ( I am of Spanish ancestry). I will be reporting them. I really don't understand why Amazon use this rubbish transport company.

I agree, but who to report them to?  They're owned by DPD (Dynamic Parcel Distribution - there's a misnomer if ever I heard one!), who are a subsidiary of the French company, La Poste.

When I had a similar experience, I satisfied myself by venting on Trustpilot - but they don't appear concerned by their pitiful 1.5 star rating, as a result of 91% of reviews being "Bad".  They haven't even 'claimed' their business, which shows how little they care.

As inconvenient as it is for you, probably the strongest statement you can make is to cancel your order with Amazon and tell them why.  But do give Seur a review on Trustpilot, I found it somewhat cathartic 😄

Kind regards,

Kim

Hello Mant66

A couple of years ago my daughter ordered a book for my birthday - Seur claimed to have been unable to deliver as I was out  x(2 days). Not true of course, so she complained to Amazon, asked them to resend it..... with a different courier!!  She knew I had experienced other  problems with Seur &  is not put off easily haha ... well it worked, and  a few days later I got a doorstep delivery from another company.  A week later, I also got the SEUR delivery which Amazon then  told me not to bother returning.

Cheers

Hi Mant66

You could try getting them delivered to a friendly local bar (with their agreement of course). Seur couldn't possibly claim that there was nobody in!

Alternatively, try looking at the returns procedure - if there's a returns point near you, they would probably be willing to take deliveries as well.

not perfect I know, but needs must!

Cheers

Steve
