I need help understanding how to obtain my SIP card!

Hello 

If anyone is able to help me understand, I have recently registered as Autonomo and I am going through my residencia process which will be requested on the 1st of December.

I am struggling to find exactly where on the Santa Pola website I can make an appointment to obtain a brand new SIP card for autonomos, I have everything else, passport, padron, ID, autonomo papers but I cannot see where to make an appointment. I have asked a translator if they are able to help but they said only one person is allowed to attend SIP card appointments at the medical center. I am not sure if I can just turn up at the local medical center in Gran Alacant to request a SIP card. I only have two weeks to sort this our as the Gestoria will need a copy of my Padron and SIP card for the resdiencia application. 

Can anyone please help me?

Hi there. You don’t need appointment for that. Just turn up.

Hello

Before your local clinic can issue you with a SIP card, you have to  register at your nearest INSS (DHSS in England.) Take all your documents, you will get a social security number that you need , to be in the spanish health system - then take to the clinic  & you will be given your card & allocated a Dr. You will need an appt for the INSS.

Hello,

If you are autónomo you already have a Social security number.

What you need to do is ask to the Gesrto whos helped you with the autónomo and for the "Documento Acreditativo de la Seguridad Social". They can download on the site "Mi Seguridad Social", they should know it.

With this document + Padron + Passport + NIE, you can go to your nearst medical centre!

Oh thats good news for BenRod,  I didn't realise he had a Social security number as he hadn't mentioned it along  with his other docs.,  that will speed things up, as he is on a time limit for submitting his residencia application

Hello 

No, you dont need to go again, if you follow the advise Yannelsis gave (posted below mine) it explains exactly what you need to do to get the correct paperwork to enable you to go to your local clinic
