Morning,
We've been lucky enough to sell our apartment in Spain. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of the most cost effective to get the money back to the uk. Or if anyone knows of a good tax advisor either in Spain or the uk. I live in North Wales. It may be a long shot, but any advice would be welcome.

Just as Wise (formerly Transferwise) is reckoned by many to be the best for transferring pounds to euros, I imagine they would be the best going in the other direction. Check them out on the internet.

Wise will only accept €30k per day without incurring charges, so, assuming the proceeds are more you’ll need to drip feed the funds across to them.
