Hi All, as a resident. Has anyone heard anything about an extension from the 30th April?

You'd have though any announcement would have come today not at a weekend but maybe they really have finally reached the metaphoric 'end of the road' on the subject.

Last emission from the British embassy was on Apr. 18th.

Just got this from .gov.uk.

Driving section updated: from 1 May 2022 UK driving licences will no longer be valid for driving in Spain if you have been resident for more than 6 months.

As a resident, why did you not exchange your driving licence when you had the opportunity?

My wife and I were granted residency in June 2021 and applied for our driving licence to be exchanged at the same time. It was really very simple and straightforward and I can't understand why everyone who is eligible hasn't done it, it's not like you've not had enough notice.

I really have no sympathy for those who are complaining about it now.
