Hi, has anyone had any success on getting RETURN flight refunds, AFTER having had already submitted a claim for the flight here?
I had booked flights for my sister and brother in law to come from UK to Spain on 21/4, returning on 6/5.  On receiving notification that the UK - Spin leg was cacelled, I applied for the refund for them...no problem.  I’ve now received the notification that the return flight is cancelled but can’t get the refund as ‘a claim has already been submitted’.  I couldn’t claim both ways  initially, as only the outward leg had been cancelled at that time.  Has any one else had this proble. And if so how have you resolved it please?

Hi. I was due to fly out to Spain a few times over the last couple of months as some relations from the US were coming over to the UK for a wedding (now postponed) and then to my holiday home in Los Altos.  I received notification from Ryanair of the outgoing flight 29th April maybe 3 weeks ago now but the return flight was still showing as "confirmed" so I just applied for the refund on the outward flight. Last week the return date of 4th May was showing cancelled so I applied for a refund for that as well.

I did an online chat with Ryanair over this and it seems its better to wait until they cancel it else yes, you can change it/get a refund but you're charged for it.!

I'm hoping to come over third week in June as Jet2 are saying their flights are commencing then, so presume Ryanair will do the same? Fingers crossed!

Thanks. I DID wait until THEY cancelled the flight back to apply for the refund. I had only claimed the flight TO Spain back (on receiving their notification) that was accepted and acknowledged without a problem. However, it seem to me, once you’ve claimed one way the ‘system’ won’t  let you make a ‘second’ claim ie for the return leg!!

How did you sort it on the on line chat? That showed specific flights would not be addressed?  Cheers Lina C

It wasn't just the one flight I needed to cancel. I went on the Robot chat but put in I wanted to speak to an agent so you've just got to wait online. Didn't take too long. I got in touch with them as I needed advice on all the upcoming flights I'd made. I had all my trips listed in the My Bookings section on the Ryanair website but they had mysteriously disappeared so didn't have the booking references and couldn't find them on my emails either. They said they'd had a few problems with the booking section. There actually quite helpful really.

I'm still waiting on my 27th May booking to Spain. My daughter who is going with me has her notification to change the flight but I've not had mine yet.

Good luck!

Thanks for your response.  We’re actually in Spain - for the foreseeable future! due to the lockdown etc so not keen on ringing Ryanair from here. There is, of course, no email address to use. If I can’t get any joy I’m thinking of contacting either (or both) Martin Lewis or BBC watchdog and seeing if they can get any joy!! Regards Linda C
