What is the best way to dispose of old  mattresses other than dumping them by the communal bin under cover of darkness? There is a waste facility on the Elche road out of Santa Pola, do they take mattresses? Thanks

Your council will tell you where to get rid of all unwanted stuff.

Phone: 96 669 3955. It the council's free rubbish removal service. They will give you a pick-up date usually a couple of days after the call. They will ask you to leave the mattress out after 9pm the night before. I have organised mattress removal before using this number and it was straightforward.

Hi

I read in the euro weekly news this week that orihuela municipality have now employed a 4 man team in unmarked cars to look out for people dumping items beside bins which include  large or electrial items amongst others.

Don't  know if this will be day or night patrols.

Best advice would be to contact the council on

Not sure if this information comes under the  area you live in.

965306178.

Hope you get it sorted.
