Hi

Wondered if anybody could give me accurate advice.

I'm bringing a RHD panel van over from the UK which is only a year old so doesn't need an MOT.

Some forums say I can use it over here for 3 months using my own insurance policy and others say I can use it for 6 months at a time then have to take it back to the UK for 6 months. I've looked on the GOV. UK website but still nothing clear about it.

Then the other question is that if I have Windows and seats put in it just behind the front seats and use the remainder of the vehicle as a van will it then be road legal over here, and could I then register it on to Spanish plates after the Spanish equivalent of an MOT has taken place. Even if somebody could guide me to a correct website it would help.

Any ad would be great.

Thanks.

Best to call into an ITV station that has an engineer on hand there is one at the ITV in Torrevieja just opposite the ITV station, he will tell you what you need to do to have the van changed to Spanish plates

I have a rhd panel van with a sliding door on my passenger side and I’ve been told I can’t change it over to Spanish plates as I won’t go through an itv because the door is facing onto the road and not the pavement. It might be worth bearing that in mind if you have a side door

The rule about the door being on wrong side has been dropped
