Hi there

We are flying out to Gran Alacant this weekend and looking at the Gov,UK website it says proof of vaaccination with a booster jab is all that is necessary to enter Spain. It says that the Spanish Health Control form is not necessary if you can fulfil the vaccination proof requirements.

In March we had to fill in the locator form and I have not seen any publicity about reducing the requirements for fully vaacinated uk arrivals.

Did I miss something or have the rules changed recently?

Regards

Hi,

yes, for entry into Spain you need a valid passport and a valid covid vaccination certificate. The health form requirement changed a couple of weeks ago. I flew into Alicante from the UK last Friday evening, I was asked at the usual place in Alicante arrivals to show my covid passport, then allowed to enter. I was also asked at check-in in the UK if I had a valid passport but they did not ask to see it.

By the way, masks are not  mandatory in Alicante airport, they were required on the flight (BA).

Aitch.

Thanks for your quick response, you have put my mind at ease.

The Gov.uk website was very clear but I hadn’t seen anything published to confirm what it said.

I also flew in last Tuesday and they just scanned my vaccination QR code from my phone. I did not do the health form. Pretty sure if you don’t have the vaccination certificate you then have to fill the health form in. It’s one or the other.

No travel locator forms required if you meet the vaccination requirements, that’s for sure. But your final dose of vaccine must be within a maximum of 270 days before travel, or not valid. If over 270 days, you need proof of a booster shot. Then you meet the requirements, and no travel locator form needed. Quite straight forward and hope that helps.

Thanks you guys for responding, I have just downloaded my Covid pass showing the booster jab so everything is good to go.

The following is taken from the N332 Facebook page.   They have been keeping us up to date with the rules and regulatons since March 2020.

Update to entry requirements for visitors to Spain from the UK*If you are coming to visit Spain from the UK, there has been a change to the documentation you need to provide. If you have a digital COVID certificate, you no longer need to complete Spain's travel health form. Children under 12 do not need to complete the travel health form either. Other requirements remain in place. If you are travelling to Spain for tourism, you must show proof of either:

- being fully vaccinated (with both doses of a 2-dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccine). Your final dose must have been administered within 270 days prior to travel to Spain or you must be able to show evidence of having had a booster jab

- having recovered from COVID-19 within the last six months

For further detail see https://www.gov.uk/foreign.../spain/entry-requirements

We arrived last night. Only Covid vac proof needed. Masks on flight and taxi but not airports.
