We are thinking of moving to Spain to rent how much roughly is it to rent + bills we are looking at rent around €500 per month we have some savings but this will have to last for 5 years & we are nearing 60..is this a risk?

Our biggest expence is eating out and drink. If you minimise on this you should be OK. Our utility bills for the year are less than what our council tax was in the UK for a year.

Yes, food and drink is cheap here, but you need to factor approx 100 euro a month for utilities and don't forget you will need private health insurance which can cost approx 1, 000 euro per year for both of you (depending who you use).

Private health insurance is not necessary at the moment as an Eu member the state health care system is very good here in Spain.
