Very difficult. I worked in Spain for 18 years doing electrical and Air Conditioning. To get the certificte for a installation you need to know someone that can supply a bolitain on your behalf. They need to know you are competent. and does cost. The person should not be doing this but as we know it is quite a corupt country

No It has to be done in Spain. I did my Air Conditioning certificate in Spanish and was quite difficult. I have done it here in the uk but only lasts for 3 years then you have to do it again. It is a money scam. Only way is to pay someone for the bolitain and used to cost around £ 150 and that was nearly 20 years ago. there are other paper work also needed along with this cert so it is not easy. It is different to wiring a house here infact it is easier but the paperwork is the hardest.

In my experience, of both Spanish and English electricians, very few have any qualifications at all but they all profess to be experts in the field.  I never found a Spanish éxpert´ who knew what a ring main was...

I would advise your friend to work without formal Spanish qualifications because the chances of being asked produce such a document are nil.

No such thing as a ring main in Spain. Cedular de Habilidad and Bolitain are needed for a new Installation. Even for a new meter you need a bolitain.

I am well aware of that!  I am talking about the so called UK éxperts´    We are all aware that the Spanish system of wiring is some of the worst in the world......

A Spanish Electrical Installation done properly Like I used to do is far more superior to an English Installation. To rewire a place in Spain there are no floorboards to be lifted or chasing out walls. It is all in conduit so all you do is pull the new wiring through.  😉
