 . . . . . . can I pick your brains please?

The water pipe from my air con has no practical drain to run into (it's a first floor apartment) - as the apartment is rented out the normal ploy of running it into a water bottle and emptying that from time to time isnt really an option (renters don't empty it just moan about puddles) - I've thought of getting a big pot plant and running the pipe into that  . . . . .  any other idea's?

Thanks in advance for any ideas

Try the below link which might be useful, one issue not mentioned in the link is the amount of water generated when the AC is being used heavily, it may be too much for the pot plant.

You could fit an electric condensate pump, this would then able you to pump the water to any outlet even if it was in another location or even higher than the air conditioner, we used to fit them all the time when we couldn’t get access to a suitable close by drainage point.

these are the items

If only we could recycle all that water from our collective aircon units.

We used to do it years ago from the refrigeration equipment for a dairy and they used it as distilled water for the milk float batteries

It seems such a waste when water is such a precious resource.

Does it depend on the plants? If its anything like the condensate from a gas boiler in the UK, then it is slightly acidic.
