Hi. I am a bit confused. I have just purchased a property in Gran Alacant. The official address on the deeds does not state the actual road the property is in. If I go on Google maps and put in the address it takes me to a different road. My concern is, if I need to get furniture etc delivered, do I give the address on the deeds or give the actual road name? And why is the road name not part of the address? Help ??

Hi, the address system in Gran alacant is somewhat confusing especially for delivery people, as the name of some urbanization coincides (ie Monteymar). Then there is the 'famous' street Calle Canarias that brings together several of the urbanizations, its sections, blocks and gates, etc. and then the postal address does not coincide with the address identified in the deed (the new government of Santa Pola has announced that it is planned to be sorted)
As a member suggested, it's a good idea to ask a neighbor. What some do for the delivery of goods is to meet at a known place nearby (mercadona, commercial center, the petrol station on the huge parking space in front of Mercadona, etc) or send their google location to the delivery people ifstruggling to find the place.

Thanks. It is in an urbanisation. I understand the plot number thing as the gate at the front of the house has the plot number and higher on the wall is a different number which is the house number. It just seems really strange that the address doesn't include the name of the road.

Thanks for your reply. My house is indeed in the Calle Canarias area. Maybe I will carry around a print out from Google maps to show where the house is 😄
