We are moving to GA in November, and we are applying for residency,
I wondered who everyone recommends for private medical,
I have requested quotes from DKV, Sanitas and AXA but would like peoples thoughts on the best ones to go with.

ASSSA. No annual increase above inflation in premiums once accepted. Check out if the others offer the same.

Hi,
Most of the large companies are very good but check that whoever you chose enables you to use GP and hospitals near to where you live and makes provision for translators at appointments(if your Spanish is poor). Neighbours of ours can only use a GP an hours drive away with their insurance provider which is inconvenient.

I will check definitely, I was just reading through the DKV and it does not cover for epidemics which is pretty bad in these times so they are off the list.

Hi,
That is interesting, I suspect it may be a new thing, there was no such exclusion when we took out ours but that was nearly 3 years ago well before covid. It is a shame as we have been extremely satisfied with DKV they covered all my very expensive treatment when I was diagnosed with cancer without question.
I wonder if other companies follow suit.
