Recently retired and thinking of moving to Gran Alacant. I am a diabetic and was wondering how the medical health care is in dealing with diabetes, prescribing insulin , other medications and the cost.

If you're receiving UK state pension and can get an S1 from DWP Newcastle to transfer into the Spanish health system, you won't have a problem. Medical treatment and monitoring is generally very good, and initially you'll only pay 10% of the prescription cost.
