Ok,odd one this but is there a Spanish mashing potato or are they all the ‘new’ variety,and where would sell them

Try Mas y Mas loose sold potatoes, they mash pretty well.

Yes there are mash potato in a powder form same as at home, in all the spanish supermarkets, look for packets with patatas en pulvo there are several different brand names depending which shop you buy them at.

I love ice land frozen mash, comes in pellet form put half a packet in microwave bowl covered with cling film for 8 mins, take out half way through and mash, it is the best as a stand by no need to had butter or milk...you may need to judge microwave times. Taste real,,
