Town buses
Are the Linea 1 and 2 buses still running in the town and if so can anyone point me in the direction of a timetable?

Hi BillC, Lineás 1&2 appear to be running to the old timetable. I live opposite the Guardamar Bus Station but they do not give printed paper timetables, look at Google Guardamar linea 1. Peter ⁹

Hi,
Last time we enquired about a timetable the lady at the bus station said we can get them from the Tourist Information Office - went there and got them no problems.
Not sure if this is still the case as this was in January , and also not sure if the Tourist Information Office has moved back to its original place opposite the town hall - or if still temporarily in the library.
Hope this is of some help

Hi Robert, The Tourist Office is back to its position in the 'Museum of Inginero Mira Botella' which has been refurbished and now has a side entrance for The Path of History (Noddy Train) group visitors. I think that you are correct about them having the transport Timetables. The Museums in Guardamar are interesting to me as the archaeology goes back to the 8th century B.C. when the Phoenician apparently would sail or row their boats straight up onto the soft sand beach 'station'. The boats would be safe from the ravages of the sea as there were no dangerous rocks in the bay. ( It would appear that our 'station' comes from this meaning of a safe haven), we have a pub named El Estación just inland of our Playa Central, but we have never had a railway or bus station in that area, as far as I know. The current Estación de Autobuses is way inland near the 'Castle'.
The Museum of Archaeology, Ethnology & Paleantology is worth a visit in Avenida Colon.
Since 'lockdown' was eased we see Linea 1 & 2 on Saturday & Sunday up to midday. Hope that this helps, Peter

The timetables are on the bus stops. Take a photo copy with your phone when you are at the bus stop.
