Hi, does anyone know if there is anything happening over the christmas period...this is our first time to Guardamar for december through to end of february....any information about either fiestas, good places to eat that may have live music, in fact anything anywhere within walking distance in Guardamar with good entertainment happening.

Any information will be gratefully appreciated.

Belens  and Three Kings parades to visit in every municipality. The Spanish celebrate Christmas on Three Kings Day 6th January.

If you’re here through to the end of February then you’ve also got the carnival celebrations mid Feb.

Remember to wrap up warm for these celebrations as you’ve chosen to visit when the nights are really cold.

You’ll find once Three Kings is over a lot of hospitality choose to close for a few weeks  either to refurb or recharge their batteries, but there will still be places open.
Are you staying in the centre of Guardamar and will you have transport

You’ll find that in the winter months the ex pat type areas move their entertainment to afternoons and bars/restaurants tend to close earlier than they do in the summer months.

Hence asking if you were actually staying in Guardamar, because you’ll find that the few expat bars in Guardamar are closing just as the Spanish ones are opening!

In winter months you’ll also find that the restaurants on the front although they’re busy during the day are fairly quiet of an evening. However there’s a road by the park, full to bursting with restaurants which are busy after 10 pm.

Market day is Wednesday and it’s a great market for fruit and veg and just down the road from the market there is a British Supermarket and a great British butchers should you want to cook your Christmas Turkey Dinner.
