HAS ANYONE TRIED PUTTING SYNTHETIC TURF (ARTIFICIAL GRASS) ON TOP OF THEIR DECKING OR IS IT JUST AS EASY TO GET OIL BASED PAINT. WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND

We have artificial grass on our deck and it works just fine. But, there are different qualities of grass. Get the good one. It'll be soft on the feet.
Far better than decking.
You can DIY it with the special glue (which ain't cheap, but it really does stick)
Get the longer grass. It's more expensive but the shorter grass gets very hot underfoot in the summer.

Hi you can actually buy the decking with the turf on it. They are interlocking pieces leaving a space underneath so you can wash with a pressure washer no problem.
